WSS Designs Unique Marketing Piece for Risk Management Client

Whitinger Strategic Services has been working closely with The Thompson Group to develop a unique marketing piece that will allow them to make a surprising impact on their target clientele. This project includes a branded box that contains a “butterfly” that pops out when opened, along with uniquely designed cards inside that include information on their various services.

The design concept behind the cards began with the Volkswagen bus that is parked outside of the Thompson Group’s office – this has always been a significant representation of their brand. With the client’s “hippie-chic” vibe in mind, WSS decided to take the design back to the 60s by creating cards that mimic album covers of the era. Each card is designed with bright colors and psychedelic artwork but still tie the imagery back to the area of service offered.

As a secondary part of this project, WSS worked closely to find and design a box that would hold the cards and “butterfly”. With the tagline of this project being “Are You Sure?”, we flooded the box in Thompson Group’s signature purple and added a large question mark to the top of the box to create some mystery. To follow suit with the cards, we added a tie-die design to the interior of the box and a short blurb about the piece and why they are receiving it.

“We were excited for the opportunity to work with the Thompson Group on such an unconventional project,” stated Account Manager Sheena Peters. “Our goal was to make each piece reminiscent of a different era with the use of bold, vibrant colors.
