Whitinger Strategic Services Launches New Brand for Campus Rentals
October 1, 2018 – Whitinger Strategic Services recently announced the completion and launch of Campus Rentals rebrand. This process included:
- A sleek new name and logo
- A new website with extensive searching and property features
- Social media integration
- New professional photography
- Consistent brand identity across printed and digital marketing materials
When BSU Cribs came to us, they were in need of a more modern name. We worked with them to create a name that would still be familiar and searchable, but unique to them.By dropping ‘BSU’, it allows the name to be short and concise while still speaking directly to the target demographic.By looking at the direct competition in the area and taking the target audience into account, this new name identifies what the company does and is memorable. Campus Rentals can now work with renters without the stigma of their “old” name.
Due to this name change and renewed direction, the logo needed a complete overhaul. Taking the notes from our creative session into account, we focused our efforts on giving the brand a more modern look that is clean, simple, and bold. We wanted to set Campus Rentals apart from its competition, so instead of using a red color scheme like is common in this area, we utilized blue as our primary color palette. The sharp edges of the mark help to lift the brand upwards giving it a superior feel while eluding to the shape of a house roof line.
We are excited to announce the launch of their new website: bsucampusrentals.com. This site incorporates responsive design, which is convenient for both current renters and future applicants. With the ability to pay their rent online and submit maintenance requests, renters can easily take care of their housing needs. The site also includes a robust search feature that no other competitor to Campus Rentals has. With this feature, visitors can search through potential houses based on the number of beds or baths, the area of campus, price per bed, property type, and more. This feature makes the renting process for renters attractive and seamless.
After the successful rebrand, we wanted to make sure that the new website launched with the same excitement. We enlisted the help of local photographer, Tony Frederick, to capture how Campus Rentals offers a true premium student housing experience. The photos were staged to help showcase the properties and the lavish amenities that the rental company offers above their competitors.
Campus Rentals now has complete brand consistency. For example, their new yard signs, which are placed in front of every property, people all around the Muncie area recognize the brand and its new look. The new social media pages have also allowed for an even greater reach into the community. We even worked with their photography to ensure the brand looks luxurious and crisp. Campus Rentals is now able to interact with future and current applicants, and is able to effectively grow their brand and their business.
