Completed Project for Delaware Country Club

COHESIVE BRAND, DESIRED DIRECTION

Whitinger Strategic Services recently partnered with the Delaware Country Club of Muncie, Indiana on a project to create strategic recommendations for the benefit of the club. WSS worked with DCC staff, club members, prospective members, and former members to develop a comprehensive long-range plan for the club.

The project began with the development of survey questions and an extensive data gathering process through printed and online surveys. Whitinger facilitated focus group sessions with various stakeholder groups and conducted individual interviews with various club members. Whitinger completed a thorough analysis and summarization of the stakeholder feedback and delivered a comprehensive recommendation report to the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership of the club.

“Delaware Country Club has been a tremendous asset in our community for more than 100 years, and through this project we sought to identify the key aspects that would allow it to remain vital for another 100 years,” stated Whitinger Strategic Services Managing Director, Richard Crist. “To honor the heritage of the club, we wanted to provide club leadership with insight from those who know their facility best and deliver ideas on how staff members, board members, and current club members can work together to create a more cohesive brand and desired destination.”

Whitinger Strategic Services used their experience in research, branding, and communication to provide a plan that, when implemented, is intended to improve the overall brand of the organization and member experience at the Delaware Country Club. Areas addressed in the report included; Clubhouse, Grounds, Golf Course, Pro Shop, Pool Area, and Locker Rooms, as well as all internal and external communication.
